Otsego School Board Selects Dr. Christie Robinson as new OPS Superintendent

Family and Friends of Otsego Public Schools,
I am humbled and honored to serve as your Superintendent. I look forward to learning more about the community and establishing lasting friendships with each of you. As a lifelong resident of Allegan County, I feel I am connected to the area and share your passion to see our schools, students and businesses flourish.
I started my educational career teaching science in Allegan. During that time I coached multiple sports and taught at both the high and middle school levels. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in the classroom and I am blessed to continue the relationships I had with my students today. While working in Allegan I completed my masters degree at Grand Valley State University and set my sights on becoming an administrator.
I became the principal of Galesburg-Augusta High School in 2013 where I served for eight years. During that time I continued my pursuit of higher education and worked toward my doctorate. I completed my doctoral program in 2021 with an emphasis on Educational Management and Leadership. My doctoral thesis was *Relationships*Engagement*
My husband, Frank, and I are proud parents of four children, who we raised in the neighboring town. We have been blessed with seven wonderful grandchildren who we have the privilege of living near.
I pride myself on building relationships with all stakeholders in the district. By learning more about individuals or teams, we are able to share a common vision for our students. Over the course of my career, I have always lived by the standard that every person plays a valuable role in our success. My goal is to help the students of Otsego Public Schools feel connected, develop their talents, make lasting memories and chase their dreams.
I am excited to begin this journey as a Bulldog and continue to build a legacy rich in tradition, success and family.
All the best,
Dr. Christie Robinson
