Otsego Athletics is proud to celebrate two student-athletes, Lane Blanchard and Logan Brinkhuis, who have officially made their commitment to continue their athletic and academic careers at the collegiate level. 

Lane Blanchard will continue his wrestling career at Grand Valley State University, competing for the Lakers. Lane will depart from Otsego Public Schools as a four-time conference champion, two-time All-State honoree, state finalist, and Academic All-State. Lane has wrestled for over 14 years, and describes his commitment to GVSU as a true blessing; Lane looks forward to making friends with all of his new teammates. 

In addition to wrestling, Lane has been involved in football, baseball, students council, National Honor Society, and Empowering Students to Serve. Lane plans to study finance at the Seidman College of Business and aspires to become an investment banker. Congratulations on your accomplishments, Lane! 

Logan Brinkhuis has committed to the Northern Michigan University Wildcats to continue his football career. Logan has been a powerhouse on the Bulldog’s offensive line in the past four years, and plans to continue that legacy at NMU. Logan has been involved in football since 2018, and has earned the All-Conference Honorable Mention - Offensive Lineman distinction, as well as the Journey Award. 

In his time as a Bulldog, Logan has also participated in wrestling and baseball. He plans to study business, and looks forward to being around new people with different experiences, and having the opportunity to learn from them.
