students hold winter wear for their campaign

National Honor Society students are turning their attention to the homeless as winter settles in, launching a Share the Warmth campaign.

From now until January 27th, Otsego High School’s National Honor Society is sponsoring a Share the Warmth campaign to collect winter wear for the homeless.

When thinking of their next community service outreach, NHS members thought about how harsh Michigan winters can be and wanted to find a way to help out those who might not find warmth and shelter. They are collecting NEW hats, gloves, mittens, scarves and socks of any size. All donations will be given to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.

Donation boxes are located at the entrances of each school in the district and in various locations around the high school. NHS will also have a community collection at the girls varsity basketball game on Tuesday, January 17th and the boys & girls varsity basketball games on Friday, January 20th.
