On May 1st, Otsego High School held a special assembly to recognize the many unique paths that await the Class of 2026. Led by guidance counselors Chelsea Fulgos and Brady Conway, the competition gym was packed with every graduating senior and the remaining student body as the seniors publicly announced and celebrated their post-secondary plans.

The event intentionally showcased that OPS’ vision, “expect excellence,” will look different in the future of every student. The categories recognized were:

  • Community College Bound
  • In-State Four-Year University Bound
  • Out-of-State Four-Year University Bound
  • Skilled Trade School Bound
  • Workforce Bound
  • Military Service Bound

Throughout the event, each senior was called up to be recognized by Dr. Mark Rollandini, Director of Secondary/Post-Secondary Instruction, as well as representatives from seven post-graduate institutions who joined the event to award students school swag and formally welcome them into this next chapter of their lives.

The event successfully showcased that every student’s unique path carries immense value, purpose, and opportunity to achieve excellence in their lives.

While all of our students have exciting and meaningful plans for the future, we’d like to extend a very special congratulations to two students who have chosen to serve our country: Dyllan Hammond (Air Force) and Teegan Slotman (Marine Corps). Their decision reflects courage, sacrifice, and a strong sense of purpose. We thank these students for their future service.

To all graduating seniors of Otsego High School, this community is proud of your achievements and wishes you nothing but the best on the adventure of life!
