Our Otsego Virtual Academy team is looking to expand our services to help bridge the gap between students and community resources.
Our Otsego Virtual Academy team is looking to expand our services to help bridge the gap between students and community resources. “More specifically, we want to support homeschool families in connecting with peers, and becoming involved in the community, all while giving them ample virtual elective opportunities,” explains OVA Coordinator/Mentor Amanda Nast.
OVA has scheduled a special Home-School Connect night to gather input from families to learn more about what they are looking for in regards to community partnerships. “We will work to establish the partnerships and opportunities for families, but want to be sure it aligns with experiences families want for their children,” Nast adds.
If you, or someone you know, is looking for ways to involve their child more in the community, expose them to new hobbies and interests and connect them with other peers, this event is for you/them. “This is an informal event to explore and inquire about what your family wants or is interested in for your children,” Nast says.
Join our OVA Coordinator at this Home-School Connect Night, Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 6pm at the Otsego High School Media Center. If you have any questions, you can reach Amanda Nast at anast@otsegops.org or call 269-694-7982.
