OHS named its annual DAR Good Citizen - senior Jarred Curtiss.

Jarred Curtiss is the 2025-26 DAR Good Citizen for Otsego High School. This award, through the Daughters of the American Revolution, recognizes a high school senior who exemplifies qualities of good citizenship when it comes to dependability, service, leadership and patriotism, “Being named the DAR Good Citizen for OHS is such an honor. It means so much to know that the efforts to lead, serve, and take responsibility have made a significant impact on our school. This reminds me that helping others and staying committed truly make a difference,” he says.

Curtiss is the senior class president, student council president, a member of the National Honor Society, Links, ISA club and eSports team. He says he looks at each of the DAR pillars in his daily life, “Each day at the high school, I try to show these values by staying involved in various clubs, being reliable, taking on various leadership roles, and searching for ways to serve people in need.” Being selected at the school level, enters his into a regional essay scholarship contest.

Curtiss plans to attend college after graduation and major in secondary education / educational leadership.
