Otsego Public Schools is proud to announce Ally Fielbrandt as the Class of 2026 Valedictorian, an honor earned by her dedication to her academics and community with a final grade point average of 4.55. Her exceptional academic career has been defined by hard work, a deep passion for community service, and her leadership among her classmates.

Ally has big plans to pursue biomedical engineering at the University of South Florida, where she looks forward to meeting new people and experiencing the freedom of college life.

During Ally’s 4 years at Otsego High School, she has been committed both inside and outside of the classroom. As a four-year member of this year’s conference champion girls soccer team, Ally shared that a highlight of her time as a student athlete was growing alongside her teammates and watching her team develop together over the years.

In addition to athletics, Fielbrandt is involved in numerous student organizations and leadership opportunities, including serving as the secretary of the National Honor Society. She also participated in International Student Ambassadors, where she helped welcome and support foreign exchange students, and was involved in robotics, the LINKS peer-to-peer program, and TAG (Teens Aiding Growth), an organization that focuses on local philanthropy.

To achieve her impressive GPA, Ally challenged herself through many Advanced Placement (AP) courses, including AP Psychology, AP U.S. History, AP Government, and AP Biology. Among these, Ally shared that AP Psychology and AP Biology were favorites.

“AP Psych was really fun, especially toward the end of the year,” Ally said. “And AP Bio was one of the classes that helped me grow the most academically.”

She credited her science teacher, Kristin Alkire, as someone who made a lasting impact on her high school journey. “I’ve had Mrs. Alkire every year of high school,” she shared. “She’s always so positive and willing to help students.”

Of Ally, Mrs. Alkire had this to share: “Ally is one of the most creative and curious scientific learners I've ever had the pleasure of teaching. She is such a thoughtful and perceptive student, and she works diligently to make connections between concepts that deepen her scientific understanding. She is also tremendously fun to have in class, and she has made my classroom a better place for all learners. I have no doubt that Ally will achieve great things in college and beyond!”

Her advice to younger students hoping to achieve academic excellence? “Try your hardest, and don’t be afraid to forge your own path.”

Outside of school, Ally enjoys spending time with friends and family, and baking sweet treats.

Otsego Public Schools congratulates Ally Fielbrandt on this accomplishment, and wishes her success and joy in her future.
