Youth Sports Programs
There are various athletic programs available to our students throughout the year to help them learn more about a sport and better their skills and abilities. Look for registration on this page when the program opens for its season.
WINTER / SPRING PROGRAMS
Hoopsters
Hoopsters is a developmental program for boys and girls in grades 3-5. Players learn the fundamentals of the sport and get more touches on the ball in this 3 v 3 format. Games are vs. Otsego and Plainwell teams. Teams are chosen by Community Ed.
Registration runs November 1st - 25th
Little Dawgs Basketball
Little Dawgs is a fun, skills-based program for boys and girls in grades K-2. This six-week program emphasizes fundamental skills through drills and mini-games.
Registration runs November 1st - December 16th
OMS Tennis
OMS Tennis is for all 6th - 8th grade boys and girls.
Students will practice 2-3 times each week and play matches with area OMS tennis teams. Practice begins mid-March, games begin in April.
FALL PROGRAMS
Spikers
Spikers volleyball is a fundamental program for girls in grades 3-6. Girls learn to improve their stance, bumping, setting, spiking and serving. Games will be 6 v 6 with serves done by rotation; teams are created at random by Community Ed staff.
Sharp Shooters
Sharp Shooters is a Girls Basketball League for 4th-8th grades from the same school district. Everyone who signs up will be put on a team; some grades may be combined . Teams play 6 games, typically on Saturdays.
SUMMER PROGRAMS
Hitters Youth Softball
Hitters is fun, recreational ball program for kids 5-10 years old.

- Minor Boys & Girls (9/10 year olds)
Summer Tennis
Otsego's summer tennis camp is a multi-week program to improve skills and provide an opportunity for matches for students in 6th-12th grade.

BIG DAWG SUMMER SPORTS CAMPS
The summer is full of opportunities for kids to get involved with the sports they love or try something new with our Big Dawg Summer Sports Camps!

Program Descriptions
Spikers Volleyball
Spikers volleyball is a fundamental program for girls in grades 3-6. Teams are comprised of two grades each. The girls learn the fundamentals of volleyball including stance, bumping, setting, spiking and serving. They have practices and games. Signups for this program start in September. The season is mid-October through early December.
Hoopsters
Hoopsters basketball is for boys and girls in grades 3-5. Teams learn fundamentals of basketball and play games against both Otsego and Plainwell teams. Registration for this program starts in October.
Little Dawg Basketball
Little Dawg basketball is for our littlest players. This 6-week program is for kids in Kindergarten through 2nd grade to learn the fundamentals of basketball with our varsity coaches and players. This program is on Saturdays and begins in January.
Hitters
From T-ball to kid pitch, there is an opportunity for kids of all ages to get in the game of baseball or softball. This program begins in June and typically runs seven weeks.
Swim Lessons
Swimming is an important lesson to learn and we have several opportunities for kids to learn how to swim and enhance their swimming techniques through swim lessons. Most of the classes are offered throughout the summer, but check often for the latest class schedule.
Aquatic Club
The Otsego Aquatic Club is for kids ages 6-18 who want to better their skills and experience with competitive swimming or diving. Club runs a winter and summer session. OAC is run by the Aquatics Center director with volunteer help from parents. Learn more on the Otsego Swim Club Webpage.
Middle School Tennis
Middle School Tennis is run through Community Education. Open to boys and girls in grades 6th - 8th, they'll learn the fundamentals of the sport through practices three days a week and compete in doubles matches against several local school districts. Look for sign-up information in February. The season begins in March.
