Driver Education is one of the most important class a student takes in high school. The knowledge that a student attains in the class can have a direct bearing on his or her life. Everyday we hear about people that have been killed in automobile accidents. Only a very small percentage of these accidents are caused by the mechanical failure of the automobile. The major reasons for these accidents are the ignorance, carelessness, discourtesy, and recklessness of immature drivers. Due to the great importance of this class, we feel that we must have complete cooperation of all students enrolled. Therefore, our policies are strict and dismissal from class is not unusual. Also, some students are not ready to handle an automobile, or they are not mature enough to be given the responsibility of driving. If a student does not appear to be ready to drive, we feel it is our responsibility not to issue a Driver Education certificate, but to ask the student to repeat the course at the next available time. Following is a list of the policies of Driver Education. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Community Education Office at 694-7980
