Key Communicators Network

A vital part of having a successful school district is a strong, supportive community. Otsego Public Schools' Communications Department launched the Key Communicators Network in January of 2013 to connect with key stakeholders in the district and open the doors of communication in a new way. Our KCN members simply commit to be more informed, share what they know and ask questions. Members of the KCN represent the variety of stakeholder groups in our community:

  • Parents
  • Staff
  • Business Owners
  • City Leaders
  • Booster Groups

Those who work in the school district know what's happening day to day, but how many others know? We want others to understand the initiatives of district, more about great programs, the professional development of our teachers and much more of the day-to-day happenings.

KCN members receive monthly newsletters, important notices of messages sent to district parents and updates on what stories were sent to the media. OPS also schedules quarterly meetings for our KCN members with more in-depth information on different district programs or upcoming initiatives. Our KCN members also serve as a great community resource for information that the district may be seeking. This group is always growing and welcomes any stakeholder who wants to be more informed!
