Community Education

Otsego's Community Education Department offers a variety of classes and opportunities for kids of all ages! We have youth, adult and senior citizen programming. Check out the menu for more information on each program!

Our Mission:

Otsego Community Education and Recreation provides youth and adults a variety of activities with an emphasis on development, learning and enjoyment.

Our Vision:

  • Youth programs promote engagement, fun, sportsmanship, and foundational skills and focus on development and participation. All school-age youth with differing ability levels are welcome!
  • Adult recreation programs promote social connections and fitness for adults of all ages and provide a place for adults to continue the sports they love or try new activities!

Community Education Programs

BASE Child Care

BASE (Before and After-school Enrichment) is a licensed daycare facility for students in K-5th grade. There is a BASE room in each of our elementary schools. BASE is open from 6am until the start of school, then after school until 6pm.

Adult Recreation

We believe that everyone should be active and have programs to enjoy! Otsego is proud to offer adult recreation opportunities throughout the year. We have Co-Ed Volleyball, Men's Basketball Open Gym, Adult Softball Leagues and our walking track and weight room.

Drivers Education

Otsego Public Schools offers both Segment 1 and Segment 2 Drivers Education classes throughout the year. Segment 2 is offered at various times throughout the year. Segment 1 is offered three times a year, once in the spring and twice during the summer.

Youth Sports Programs

There are various athletic programs available to our students throughout the year to help them learn more about a sport and better their skills and abilities. - from volleyball to T-Ball and summer camps!

Otsego Aquatic Club

The Otsego Swim Club (OSC) introduces competitive swimming for ages 5-18. Swimmers must complete one pool length solo. OAC improves stroke skills and offers various events including diving. Weekly practices and optional meets are included in two sessions: Winter & Summer.

Senior Lifelong Learning

We invite our area senior citizens to get involved with this fun and informative program. Our Lifelong Living group meets the first Tuesday of each month and features a guest speaker or a field trip!
