First Day of School - August 18th

Elementary letters with teacher assignments and back-to-school information will be mailed on Monday, August 4th. Sixth grade letters with camp and back-to-school information have been sent; 7th & 8th grade families will receive information by the second week of August. High school families should watch their email during the first week of August for a back-to-school newsletter with important information.

The first day of school for 1st-12th grade students is Tuesday, August 18th; Kindergarten and Young 5's students and their families will have an Open House on August 18th (times below) with their first day of school on August 19th. See the sections below for all the info you need for back to school!

Please note that elementary building-to-building transfers are closed at this time.

TRANSPORTATION:

Our transportation team is currently working on routes and will notify families the 2nd week of August with bus stop information for each family on a route.

Need to get your child on a route? Have you moved? Contact our transportation office at 269-694-7940.

Bus service begins on Tuesday, August 18th for 1st-12th grade students. The first transportation day for Kindergarten is Wednesday, August 19th. (Kindergarten has an Open House on Tuesday, not a full day.)

Are you interested in giving back to our community starting at $21.86/hour? Become a bus driver! No experience is required, and training is provided.

FOOD SERVICE:

Good news! Breakfast and lunch will be FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS again this year. If a student would like a second meal or just milk, that can be purchased with funds on the child's account.

Please take a few minutes to complete the Educational Benefits Application at the link below. While all students receive free school meals, this form plays a critical role in determining the federal funding Otsego Public Schools receives to support students and programs. Families who qualify may also be eligible for discounts on Chromebook fees and insurance, AP exam fees, SAT testing, and other educational expenses.

ATHLETICS: 

Any middle or high school student planning to play a fall sport, must sign up on FinalForms. This online registration is where all documents are uploaded, agreements are signed and how students and parents receive communication from coaches and the athletic department.

ATHLETIC TICKET PURCHASES: 

Tickets for our home athletic events are now on sale! Purchase individual tickets or save money and purchase a pass! While there's no cash taken at the gate, you can purchase a ticket with a credit/debit card on site.
