Kindergarten Screening / Placement Information
Due to the current situation, our Early Childhood Team will not be holding face-to-face screening but rather developed an alternate plan to identify students who are ready for kindergarten or would benefit from a growth year in our Young 5’s program or another year of preschool.
We used all available data from parents, preschool teachers, and other agencies to guide our recommendations.Over the next few weeks, a member of our Early Childhood Team will be contacting parents of the students who may benefit from an additional year of early childhood programming, including Young 5’s.
Letters will be sent home in June to all incoming kindergarten students with tentative building placements and additional information. The staff at Otsego Public Schools is committed to supporting you and your child through this transition.
