All meetings are held at 7:00pm in the Board Room in the Administration Office, 400 Sherwood St., Otsego, MI 49078, unless otherwise posted. The Superintendent may hold an agenda review meeting with board members the week preceding regular meetings. For additional information, contact the Superintendent's office at 269-694-7902.
 

Public Notice for Electronic Public School Board Meeting

June 16, 2020

This is a public notice that the Otsego Board of Education workshop scheduled for Monday, June 22, 2020, will be a special meeting in order for them to take action on agenda items. In addition, it will be an electronic meeting. Due to continued caution of gatherings of large groups, the Otsego Board of Education will meet electronically. 

 

The board meeting will be streamed on the Otsego Public Schools YouTube channel which can be accessed at this link: https://youtu.be/dURSYbvMF4w This meeting also includes a budget hearing which will begin at 6:30pm. The regular agenda will begin at 7:00 p.m. 

 

Public Comment

For those wishing to take part in public comment, please see the public comment guidelines on our website and submit your request to make a public comment using this public comment request form prior to the start of the meeting. 

  • Those participating in public comment will be muted until it is time for public comment; at that time, you will be called upon and given your allotted time to speak. (Those seeking public comment must be Otsego Public Schools District residents.)
  • If you are having trouble accessing the meeting, contact our Director of Technology to assist at mtriemstra@otsegops.org
  • If you are an individual with a disability who is in need of an auxiliary aid or service to participate in the meeting, please contact Michelle Triemstra, Director of Technology, at mtriemstra@otsegops.org or 269-694-7921 for voice and TDD calls prior to the meeting.

OPS Committee discussions (Curriculum, Finance & Operations, Personnel & Policy) will take place at the start of Board Workshop meetings.

Public Comment at Board of Education Meetings
The Board of Education welcomes members of the public to speak at its public board meetings and hearings regarding the meeting agenda items and on education in general. Please complete a public comment information form 15 minutes prior to the scheduled Board meeting. These forms are available in the Administration Office at 400 Sherwood Street, Otsego, Michigan, and may be obtained prior to the Board meeting from the Board of Education Secretary. Each registered speaker will have three (3) minutes to make their presentation.

 

You must speak on the topic for which you have been registered. The Board will not engage in a discussion on the comments at that time.

Your adherence to these guidelines will enable the public comment process to move smoothly.
