Otsego High School Student Council partners with the American Red Cross each year to hold three blood drives. They have a goal each time of collecting about 50 units of blood. The Red Cross says that one donation can save up to three lives. There was a constant stream of students and staff who donated and it looks like they met their goal.
"It makes me feel good giving back to people because I know I'm helping them and I would expect them to do the same," says Tarryn Williams who has given every time she's been able to.
Brodie Risher is also a regular donor at OHS. This December marked his 7th time. "I feel better throughout my day knowing that taking time out of my day to save a life, or multiple lives. It makes me feel a lot better as a person," he says.
The next blood drive is in March.
