It’s been part of her monthly routine for 18 years, but Monday, December 10th will mark the final Otsego Board of Education meeting for Wendy Stafford. An Otsego graduate, and parent of Otsego graduates, she has been a steadfast supporter of Otsego students, families, staff and the community.
“Words can't express how thankful we are for Wendy's leadership and service to Otsego Public Schools by serving on the board of education for 18 years,” says Otsego Superintendent, Jeff Haase. “She has spent numerous hours attending school functions, preparing for meetings, along with continuous professional development through Michigan Association of School Boards. Wendy has maintained through her years of service with the one and only vision of providing long-term success for our current students and future Bulldogs.”
Wendy has served as President, Vice President and Treasurer along with Trustee during her time on the Board. She served Otsego in a number of ways. She was a Parent Educator for 14 years, 12 of those serving Otsego; she was also a parent representative on the Allegan Street Improvement Team and is currently a part of the steering committee for the new Learn ‘n Grow Early Childhood Education Center.
“Thank you, Wendy, for everything. We wish you the best in your future endeavors,” adds Haase.
