The Otsego Middle School food drive came at a great time for families in need in the Otsego area. This annual food drive benefits Christian Neighbors. Students collected 6200 items, which includes almost $1800 in monetary donations. OMS Student council members not only organize the drive, but they spend a day sorting the food, packing it up then delivering it to Christian Neighbors where they do the work stocking the food on the shelves. It’s a great glimpse into what families go through when visiting the pantry and the need. They also feel good leaving knowing that they’ve been able to fill some of the shelves.
