On October 7th, the AP Biology class gathered at the Kalamazoo River to take part in the annual Krazy for the Kazoo river clean-up day. They started at the Otsego dame and went down to the transfer station to clean up along the riverfront. Before they started, students heard from Ana Hedberg, from the Allegan Conservation District. She told them about the Kalamazoo River watershed and well as the cleanup happening at the Superfund site in Otsego township. The students were joined by Luke Keyzer, Otsego's waste water treatment plant manager, and several volunteers from Parker.
