OMS 7th graders are giving each other a great tour and taste of Europe! They’ve been studying various aspects of Europe. They focused in on colonialism and immigration and how that impacted Europe and the Western Hemisphere. They also moved through the timeline to discuss WWII, Germany’s rise to power and the formation of the European Union.
Students were put into groups and each assigned a country in the European Union to research; they looked at current events, geography and history and created a Google Slides presentation to share with the class. They were encouraged to bring in food items from their nation. Students went above and beyond! Classes have tasted items such as baklava, pierogies, gelato, danishes, candy and cannolis.
