About Our Superintendent

The culture and climate at Otsego Public Schools is centered around building positive relationships and Otsego's Superintendent, Jeffery Haase, has kept that as the number one priority for Otsego Public Schools. OPS is a safe place for our students to learn with the support that each individual child needs, both academically, socially and emotionally. We are proud of the support systems we have at OPS to make sure each child excels. Haase began at Otsego's Superintendent in July 2014. He graduated from Central Michigan University, earned his Master’s in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University. 

Jeff began his teaching career as a high school math teacher at Fruitport Community Schools, eventually becoming an Assistant Principal, then Principal of FHS. He served as Superintendent at Hesperia Community Schools for three years before joining Otsego. Supt. Haase and his wife, Jennifer, have been married 32 years; they have two daughters and four grandchildren. Jeff enjoys watching sports, playing golf, working on building projects and spending time with family and friends.
