The 2015 Otsego Comet Yearbook - Please Read
First of all, we would like to apologize for failing to catch the typo on the binding of this year’s yearbook. While this year’s cover and binding was designed by our publishing company, we did not notice the misspelling before it went to print.
To correct this, we will be providing a slip-cover for all purchased books that has the corrected spelling of Otsego on the binding of the book. These covers should be arriving within a couple weeks and can be picked up in the main office. Any covers not picked up over the summer will be distributed in September to students.
A few additional notes:
Extra yearbooks are still available, on a first-come-first-served basis. Reserved books were sold for $75, but the extras are currently on sale for $80. Once we sell out, we cannot order more. Also, please note that while the cost of the book might seem expensive, we only charge what it costs us to print the book. The yearbook does not make a profit from sales of the book itself. Every student has an opportunity to earn money off their yearbook (or even a free yearbook) by participating in the fundraiser in the fall. Unfortunately, we do not have extra yearbooks to give away; we have to pay for every yearbook printed. (Even those who volunteer to create the yearbook do not get a free yearbook.)
Seniors 2016! A few things to remember… You will need:
Spring Supplements should arrive sometime in the fall. If you signed up for the “Remind Alert”, we will send out a notice when they are in. We will also post that information on the yearbook page of the high school website as soon as it is available.

Something to keep in mind…
The yearbook is produced by an extra-curricular club. The yearbook staff consists of 16 students between the ages of 14-17, who volunteered hundreds of combined after school, evening, and weekend hours to bring you this yearbook. It is 100% student designed and created (with the exception of this year’s cover). We welcome all those with suggestions and ideas to join the staff, and make next year’s book even better.
Mistakes! Misteaks! Mistaks!
We make every effort to produce an error-free yearbook, but mistakes still slip in. Believe us, we will see them in the printed book, and will be upset about them. Keep in mind that there is nothing we can do about it now. Please do not seek out yearbook staffers to point them out. If you feel you need to let someone know about an error, see Mrs. Trometter. The nature of the print world is for people to find errors, despite best efforts to eliminate them, even in publications created by paid professionals, whose full-time job it is to create such works. We apologize in advance for those errors that slip through. Please know that our students do their very best to provide you with an accurate book, that you will enjoy for years to come.
Put your name inside the book in a visible place, and keep your eyes on it when passing it around for book signing. If your book is misplaced or disappears, we cannot replace it for free.
